Installation. Subwoofer, Kerze, Metallplatte, Lichtsensor, Karton, Mikroprozessor, spannungsgesteuerter Oszillator (VCO).

Mittelpunkt der Installation ist das Flackern einer Kerze, der ein Subwoofer und eine Kartonschachtel gegenübersteht. Das Flackern der Kerze scheint durch einen Spalt auf einen Lichtsensor der im Inneren der Schachtel sitzt. Dieser überträgt die Informationen der Bewegung der Flamme in einen digitalen Wandlungsprozess. Am Ende dieses Prozesses steht der Subwoofer, der entsprechend dem „Lichtflackern“ einen Luftzug abgibt, der so stark ist, dass er die Kerze wieder zum Tanzen bringt. Der Kreislauf selbst steht ständig am Rande des Zusammenbruchs, da das, was er produziert, ihn zum Verschwinden bringen kann: Ein Luftzug. Danke an: Peter Linhart, Elektronik und Programmierung

Center of this installation is the flickering of a candle framed by a cardboard box and a subwoofer. In the box, the flickering of the candle shines through a fine crack that triggers a light sensor. It transfers the recorded information from the movement of the flame to a digital conversion process. At the end of this process stands the subwoofer which emits, according to the flickering of light, a blow of air, so strong that it forces the candle—again—to flicker. The cycle itself is constantly on the brink of collapsing, as what it produces, is equally what it will cease: A blow of air. Credits: Peter Linhart, electronics and programming
