Marie Lambropoulus

Marie Lambropoulus studierte Biologie an der Universität Wien, Studienzweig Ökologie, mit dem Schwerpunkt Vegetationsökologie, Natur- und Landschaftsschutz. Sie hat ihre Diplomarbeit über die Heuschreckenpopulation am Gelände des Symposions Lindabrunn verfasst und ist eine ausgezeichnete Kennerin dieses Habitates. Sie war an der Universität für Bodenkultur im Institut für Waldökologie sowie im Dept. Limnology & Bio-Oceanography tätig und arbeitet freiberuflich als Ökologin für diverse Organisationen. Ihr Doktorat schreibt sie zum Thema „Klimafitte Wälder“. Neben ihrer klassisch wissenschafltichen Arbeit als Ökologin im Themenbereich Naturschutz und Klimawandel befasset sie sich gerne mit ökophilosophischen und ökofeministischen Theorien, liest die Werke von Donna Haraway, Anna Tsing und Lynn Margulis und versucht, mit diesen Ideen im Hinterkopf dazu beizutragen das Patriarchat zu zerschmettern.

Marie Lambropoulus studied biology at the University of Vienna, majoring in ecology, with a focus on vegetation ecology, nature and landscape conservation. She wrote her thesis on the grasshopper population at the Lindabrunn Symposium site and is an excellent expert on this habitat. She worked at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in the Institute of Forest Ecology and in the Dept. Limnology & Bio-Oceanography and works as a freelance ecologist for various organizations. She wrote her doctoral thesis on the topic of "climate fit forests". In addition to her classical scientific work as an ecologist in the field of nature conservation and climate change, she enjoys ecophilosophical and ecofeminist theories, reads the works of Donna Haraway, Anna Tsing and Lynn Margulis and tries to contribute to smashing the patriarchy with these ideas in mind.
